Taste and Smell: Possesses the taste and smell characteristic of this product, free of off-flavors.
Impurities: A small amount of insignificant impurities that do not affect food hygiene is allowed; not exceeding 20 points per kilogram of finished product.
2. Physico-chemical Indicators: Specifications: Possesses the maturity and fullness expected of this product; each piece ≥ 8 mm wide. Moisture: Boiled melon seeds ≤ 20%, fried melon seeds ≤ 5%. Salt: 5-10% based on the weight of melon seeds.
3. Microbiological Indicators: No signs of spoilage due to microbial action; no mold spots.
4. Shelf Life: Shelf life for fried products is 8 months, and for boiled products is 5 months.
